Sorry for the late reply.. I didn't feel like being online the last days.. The weather was so nice I just went home sleeping. I was almost always outside too bad it is raining today..

the work is okay.. the kids are a bit annoying.. they behave more stupid then ever.. and luckily my break became longer. originally i just have a 30minutes break but know i have about 1-2hours... When I don't have anything to do, I go outside to the kids and play with them.. and i often have nothing to do =D

and huge trees are just looking awesome since they are so big and everything..

my friends leg broke so i won't see her so often the next weeks.. well 30euros aren't so expensive.. if i would have bought a wallpaper it would be more expensive.. I took some photos.. You can see them under Kirschrot.org You just have to scroll down a bit...

i still don't watch the anime.. just watched the first episode.. was nice but well i am not in the mood to watch animes at the pc.. maybe i am getting too old?

that's right.. and its easier to vector those scans.. I think it's good practise to start with high quality scans. and well.. some of the vectorer makes wallpapers out of them so it's okay...

Just type "free photoshop (insurt version here) brushes" in whatever search engine you use. You can usually find some websites that have some awesome, high-quality brushes for download. And since you're looking for fog brushes, you could even search "free photoshop fog brushes" or something. I found websites that way, but the brushes they had for download were too advanced for my version. And they version that I have is 6. That's like... mega old.

Yeah! Hopefully Yoru will start a contest for Halloween! The theme could actually be "Scariest Wallpapers". It'd not only boost creativity, but also egt away from all of the cutesy wallpapers for a while. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying cute wallpapers are bad. They're just too frequent, ya know?

A lot of those wallpapers on display were made by artisits who've been at it for a while. And a lot of them have made tons of simple wallpapers, so they know how to make them really good.
Well really, all you need to do to create a great simple wallpaper is to few vectors and wallpapers in a different light. If you think of a vector as one specific style, then it'll be hard to make a decent simple wallpaper. For instance, a nice idea for a simple wallpaper using a vector could be this:
Line a character that's in an interesting pose. Do not color him in the conventional methods, however. Maybe one could try a scribble-like method, mixed with a water-color painting method? The scribble-like method should be done with a crayon-like brush or something. Anyway, try not to stay in the lines. Make it a little messy on purpose. For the background, pic a color. Then add some more messy lines and messy coloring to make a background, like a wall or something. Something similar to the cutscenes from Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (I tried to find a pic, but I failed!) for PSP.

I guess it'd have to be done by someone who knew what the were doing, or else it might turn out kinda bad. But my point is probably something like, "don't constrain yourself from trying out different art styles. Ya gotta think outside of the box to create something new and exciting." Which is why I recommended that you go through the simple-ism gallery to see if anything helps inspire you. Don't copy people's style, of course, but you might be able to piece together different aspects that you'd like to try. I'm probably not making much sense... >.>

Whoa, I'm not amazing, lol. Far from it actually. As for the fog, I think there are some pretty neat brushes you can download. And you can get more technical brushes depending one what version of PS you have. I wanted to get this one brush that was pretty awesome, but I couldn't because I have such an old version of PS (which is why I don't use it).

I might be exagerating in that it will give people nightmares, lol. But it might freak people out.

You're style doesn't get worse, and you know that! Anyway, simple isn't bad. There's a whole group dedicated towards simple wallpapers.
Check that place out. Ya might get some inspiration for some simple wallies. I actually find it more difficult to make a simple wallpaper, lol.

Personally, I like the one with the wall better. Though, there are some things you could add to make it better. It could try to put some graffiti on the wall, or something. That's look pretty rad. Also, I dunno if you should go with blue. You could try warm colors to see how they would look, then compare the two to choose which looks better. Also, maybe add some fog-like effects, and de-saturate the wallpaper to make it darker. It'd make the wallpaper moody, but I think it would fit the look on the character's face. Just a few suggestions. :B

I finished it so fast because I chose such an easy scan to vector. The only part that took any time was making the textures. And I saw your comment! I'm glad you like it. If you think this one is scary, just wait until the next time I make a dark wallie. I already have a concept in mind, and the scan I'm gonna use is gonna probably give some people nightmare.

Yup, I ended up using my first idea! It doesn't always work that way, however. For instance, for that clown one, I originally wanted the clown to by dying in a circus-like environment, with a lot of mist and a more spooky atmosphere. Instead I ended up having him dying in an city street, with a more peaceful atmosphere. And I don't think you have one style. Your newest wallpaper (that I just saw, gonna go comment on it after this) is in a different stle than your other wallpapers. Even your Shiki wallpaper is in a different style than the one you made before it.

Yeah, and I love your new layout! I kinda want to make a new profile layout for me (which I need to update with info and stuff anyway), but I just haven't found any time to do it.

My previous math class's students was separated... because the teacher is going to teach a higher lv math. So I went into that class with the cold teacher After that we took the math test and I got the highest in class... So I was allowed to go up to the the higher lv math class So I moved class again~ And that's why I was only with that teacher for 1 month or so~ Now my Math teacher is the same as the teacher I got before the cold teacher

We will end the contest when we feel that there's enough entries~ So no worries~
And to say the truth lots of people haven't finished their entires yet Including me
