I've had Illustrator for about four years now. Just don't use it much.

It's almost entirely just straight changing colors, but the places that were too blocky I put large shapes over them with low opacity.

As for hair... yeesh, that was ebil. But I did it first before I got tired out.
Mostly I did highlights first and worked my way down, since his hair is black and I was going to have a solid black background I didn't worry too much about anything other than highlights really... Just try to keep the shapes long and narrow and have them go in the direction the hair is facing.

It's actually my first time vexeling a person so it was largely experimental. I did a lot of stupid stuff trying to find out what worked and what didn't. Don't just stick to one way of doing things.

Also, I think it's due to the fact that you used screencaps in the background for 2 of those pics. Esp in the first St. Seiya one, the background is pretty blurry because it looks like the screencap has been enlarged (stretched). I'd suggest vectoring/recolouring the background as well (you can simplify it if you wish).

Fair point. There's no arguing for taste . I would suggest, though, that although the nakedness in the picture is explicit it isn't deliberately perverted or, dare I say, pornographic. That said, it is definitely mature and not something I would want to show to a younger person; and I can respect the position of a moderator upholding the scans policy by deleting it. I accept the moderator's decision - even if I don't entirely agree with it.

If you're using Photoshop, you can place the pattern in a separate layer, place it over the place you're going to wrap the pattern on then press ctrl+T (or transform). Right click, then choose 'Warp' while on it's transform mode. After doing that, you can 'wrap' the pattern on the place you want to put it in ^-^

Mm, it's not very long. The second volume is the last one. Yes, it's like extras, points-of-view from other characters that have had some sort of relationship with Athrun (since The Edge itself is GSD from Athrun's POV), at different points in the series' timeline. The first volume contained those of Shinn, Meer, Cagalli and Rey.

The second volume appears to be more concerned with the portrayal of how the Minerva trio met, and their days in the Academy (middle portion, consisting of three chapters). There is also one chapter with Kira, as well as Dearka & Yzak at the beginning; the volume ends with a chapter on Rey's childhood. It just adds a lot of background to stuff you wouldn't otherwise know, and can be rather...enriching.

...And I think I've blabbered enough.
