Quote by SaikusaI've loved this image for so long, and I'm so glad that someone has made a beautiful scan of it at long last... thank you!

You're welcomed! I've liked this image for a long time too, and it was nice seeing a textless version of it in the artbook. Thanks for the fave as well!

Quote by SaikusaSuperb work! The line work is confident, the shading & colouring are gentle yet effective, and your graffiti in the background shows a talent for more than one style of art. Love it!

haha cheers~
thoguh i'm still trying to improve my CGing skills and its good to explore many kinds of art instead of sticking with just 1 X-P

Quote by SaikusaBeautiful, innocent, exotic, alluring, refreshing & free. Stunning work of art. It's criminal to call this a wallpaper :)

Thanks a lot for your nice comment, I'm glad you like it. Even bigger thanks of course for proposing it for a highlight. :D

Hello,
I saw that you are a moderator for the scans so I was wondering if it's possible for you to move scans between categories. If yes, then could you please move this scan than I submitted to Other categry to the right one, which is Spice and Wolf.
Before you ask I'll tell you that I submitted it wrong because I looked under Wolf and Spice and not Spice and Wolf, and was stupid enough not to look for the other version.
If you can't do it then please reply in my guestbook and I'll delete the scan and submit it again correctly. I just wish I didn't have to do that because there are already people who favourited it and I myself hate when the scans that I favourited disappear.
Thank you in advance, Iga.

Quote: It's pretty. The vectoring is soft with subtle uses of texture & gradient. You're improving.

Thank you for the comment.
I'm glad you think my walls are getting better.
I did my best on this one and although I thought it's too scary for the public to enjoy, I received great feedback.
I'll be using one of your scans for my future wallpaper. I'm glad you have just what I need.

Quote by moonelf313I love this one so much, and I adore your site... :) Thank you for sharing your Green Glass scans all the time, they are absolutely beautiful! The colors are so vibrant too...any tips on cleaning up colored scans you could share with me...so I can resubmit some of my older scans? :)

Just experiment with whatever photo package you have until you discover a technique or style that you like. I used to use a combination of multiple, screen & soft light layers at different opacities. These days I use more technical & quicker methods, but it is still down to a lot of experimentation.

Thanks for the pointers! They have helped! So are you taking break from moderating permanently...? Well take care

Quote by youkaisI wonder... why howl looks so girly in there XD
Anyway, I want to read the book so! O_O
You can buy it or something? XD

Because he looked very girly in the film (especially when he had blond hair).

You can. The book is by Diana Wynne Jones, and while the start is very similar to the film, about half way through it starts to change very very drastically. It's a very fun read, and perhaps just as enjoyable (if not more) than the film. You should be able to find it pretty easily on eBay or Amazon.

So many THANKS to you! :D

Thanks for your nice comments on my Samura wallies. I really have too much fun walling underappreciated series. XD

Quote by SaikusaHa ha! When I first saw this I thought 'uh oh, another low quality wallpaper. Why did it have to be Blade of the Immortal?!'

Ha ha! I fooled you. XP

Quote by SaikusaThis is so beautiful. At first glance there isn't much to it... but then you can't stop looking at it because your eye is constantly being drawn from one set of details to another. Such beautiful & gentle linework, with lovely soft shaded colours. What's not to love?

Thank you so much Saikusa-san ^_^
I really appreciate it :)
Oh and I'm glad you like the Totoro one as well.

Saikusa-san, I just noticed that you're retired! :o Well I want to thank you for all the great work you did as a mod, and hope to still see you around ^^
Take care!

Thanks for your comment. :)

I just noticed you've retired but I hope that doesn't mean you'll quit MT altogether but still be stopping by from time to time.

Quote by SaikusaYay! A quality CHALK Karasu wallpaper!

I like the way you've purposefully kept it very sparse. The vector is strong and detailed, but isn't over-crowded with details, and the slight touches of light textures keep it from being too gloomy, while retaining that haunting pose. Nice work!

It pleases me that you like it. Thank you so much for the comment! ^^

r q g

Quote by SaikusaYou can't go wrong with a giant Totoro! XD

The first visual hook is the colour. Candy pinks & purples are so different for this scene, that you're drawn in to see more. Then all the cute little details and touches of pattern are just adorable! This is a wonderful piece of work!

Yeah - Totoro is always the right choice XD
Thank you for your comment, I'm happy you found the work appealing and that I didn't abuse the patterns.

Thankies for the nice comment and fav on my Loveless scan. I'm glad you liked it that much; I also think it's cute, that's why I decided to share it here.
I see you're now retired... Well, that only means more quality time for you! :D

Omg I just noticed you're retired. Either it was recent or i'm just blind >>;

Quote by SaikusaThis is not only a daring image to tackle, but it is also an absolutely superb vector with shocking amounts of detail! Kudos!

Hi Saikusa-sama!
Thanks for the comment!
Is my first attemp making shaped vectors... they are more funny and hardest than normal ones... i will try more, and i hope you will give me your oppinion in the future too!

Thanks a lot for those words!

Quote: Maybe... it is from the same artist who did Eureka 7. I think the art style is the same, but as I haven't read E7 I can't tell if the story itself has any similarities. But both the story telling & the art are consistantly good :)

Yes! There quite a resemblance, especially when regarding the eyes!
But I think it looks a little like Evangelion manga art... dunno why.
This manga really seems interesting and intriguing...
I'll search a little about it!
^^
Regards!
