Yea, it's 2 am and I should be sleeping too, if not for the coffee
Ok, pleasant dreams then ^_^
Coffee? I guess that helps. Personally I like coffee-flavoured stuff but I never
actually drank the real thing.. Okay I should stop using that emoticon already..
I've started reading Mort (Finally!). I wish I could just print it out and read
it like a real book.. I would be bringing it everywhere with me if I did.. but
then; 128 pages! My printer ink would face grevious loss..
So; joining any of MT's contests? Vector-Wallies have a few on, like the Aniwood
for example. And Dark Walls.. If you don't wanna stress out over those art
competions, you can join the lighter ones, like RFL's for example. Oh and you
got 2 points for joining RFL, did you know? Want more? You can just recommend an
anime.. like maybe Vampire Princess Miyu. ...Am I getting the title right? What
is that show about anyway..I'm curious..
See you around! Sweet dreams!

Oh I'm sorry for the lateness I'm
glad you enjoy Mort Yea,
too bad it's an e-book.
Contests!? Nah, I don't think I'll be joining any right now. I already have
several unfinished projects so I intend to finish them first :p Vampire Princess
Miyu is mostly about ghost hunting and or exorcism. Just think about it like
Bleach, but with vampire as the main characters. It's kind of weird... I
wouldn't recommend watching the show because it's not really interesting. The
manga is fairly better, but I think it only scores 6/10 IMO. The illustrations
style is unique though, because it's inky and fluid which is rarely seen with
the newer titles.
Hey there! Seems like we are online together! ^.^ Maybe I should get a chat box
someday... Would be fun, don't you think?
Don't worry about being late! I was horrendously late in answering some of my
friends' messages too!
I've finished Mort! Haha, Death has the soul of a cook. :P And Mort's slow
transformation into Death was kind of awesome to read, in a slightly creepy way.
And the side characters were a real laugh. Terry
Pratchett sure has imagination. ^.^ I notice that his and Neil Gaiman's style of
writing give readers the feel like they are watching a film, and actually
feeling it. Well, Terry's beginnings still could do with work.. "The Colour
of Magic" is not really starting off to my liking.. maybe there's better
stuff to come..
Another writer, Frank Beddor, attempted a similar style, with his Looking Glass
Wars Series. While it definitely has its thrills and quirks, I guess he has
gotten to used to the 'blockbuster' style.. No big surprise, since he IS a
scriptwriter, originally..
Okay! No pressure! I hope you can get your contest projects done.
Hmm.. Vampire Princess Miyu's art style does sound rather interesting.. and a
few rumours I heard around suggested an intriguing relationship between her and
some demon and other.. That's the man you vectored in your wall right? I guess
I'll look for the manga then, just for a 'sampling'!
By the way, do you draw any doujinshis yourself? I do, though I can't show them
here since I don't have a scanner.. I've just read a book about a certain
artist, Christy Agen (I believe), and her painting style... and I would like to
try out her style someday. ^.^ If I had a scanner, I would probably scan some of
her art and tips for my own enjoyment.
Another art style I would like to test out is inking, the traditional way. I
haven't found an easy-to-follow book for that though..
Well, see you! I think I will go off and look for a chatbox after all..

Quote by gabychanHiya Aozora. I'm sorry
I dissapeared on you back then. My computer broke down and it took me long
enough to replace it. That's why I vanished for two week T___T
Yep, among all of Discworld characters, Death is the most popular. It's because
he's unique to discworld. Well, now since you finished reading Mort, do you want
to read more of the series? I have the first 26 volumes. You can browse for the
synopsis and if there's a title that interest you I can e-mail it to you.
Nope, I don't draw doujinshis. My drawing skill is terrible and even if I mange,
I usually won't be able to draw more than the face. The rest of the body will
usually look super deformed *LOL*
Wow, you're quite an artist. Inking sounds pretty difficult. Well, if you happen
have the chance to scan your works one day, I would very much like to see them
Hello! Good to see you back!
Aww.. I know how that feels.. my computer was a goner for a month and a bit more
last February, and being away from the internet hurted. T.T here too when that happened. And then when I got it
back, my Photoshopping skills felt so weird.. painting on Photoshop is kind of
hard now. Especially clouds.
Read more of the series? Wouldn't mind at all! Okay, been looking through some
of the synopsis.. Moving Pictures sounds interesting, albeit a bit crack.. Thief
of Time sounds good too! I notice that the ones I pick are those with the more
simpler character names.. . I
just don't feel like reading anything with distractingly long, winding, and not
very interesting proses now..
You might not be drawing any doujinshis, but I sure do love your art. ^.^ At
least, you are skilled enough to recreate what you see in your imagination on
Photoshop! I'm .. stuck with all this ideas and still not very sure how to do
them.. Oh, and all too easily distracted.
Me? An artist? *blush* Oh, no, I just love art.. I still get problems with
proportion every now and then. Then I go a bit crazed and rub off the head or
something before realising.. I shouldn't have. *wince* Haven't started inking
yet. But I want to! Scanner's near the top of my wish list.. ^.^
Well, frankly, I wish I had found Minitokyo earlier... like maybe when I was
thirteen.. For one thing, I had more time! This age is the dreaded year for all
Malaysian students; SPM year! Which means Big Major Exam Which Will Seriously
Take Up Your Time And Make Not Just Your Seventeen Sour But your Sweet Sixteen..
Not. *sulk Exams are a part of life, I suppose.. but why 12 subjects...
Westerners only have 5 subjects and they're learning them more in depth.. What
is the point of memorising all the moral values and definitions when we aren't
even sure about local traditions anymore.. Argh, excuse me for the
rant!
Also, thirteen was around the time when I started being a bit more aware of art
and started periodically trying to improve my style.. If I had found Minitokyo
earlier, I would have worked even harder.. i know because since I joined MT last
year, I have improved..
Well, well, can't turn back time.
Oh, and I finished reading Airman by Eoin Colfer last week! And again, I was
'leeching' from the bookstores.
Anyway, it was a surprisingly nice read! It is about a boy named Conor who is
literally born amid the skies, on a hot air balloon. From the moment he was
born, there was intigue and plots around him, as said hot air balloon was
'targeted'... for assassination! Well, Conor grows up in France, with both
French and Irish blood coursing through his veins, and proves himself to be not
only scientifically endowed, but a knight in progress. But this boy is a dreamer
too, with his head is in the clouds almost literally.. his dream is to fly! So,
this story involves Science, politics, thrills, myatery and some sneaky
schemes.. oh, and a little romance. I
love hoe Colfer spins all these elements into an engrossing read. Even though he
doesn't stuff it with descriptions, I could imagine the story like it was
real... My recommendation, definitely. And I love the skies too, so why not?
^_^

Well, I did read Pinhoe's Egg, but it's not memorable as the other books, IMO.
Cat is acting like a snooty pompous brat in that book, which is one of the
attitude I hate the most in real life. That's why I did not find reading that
book enjoyable. As for Merlin's Conspiracy, well I don't really like it because
it's being tell from the first person point of view, otherwise, it's pretty
good. Oh yea, the timeline of Hexwood is scrambled, alright
Yep, the Inheritance trilogy is the one with Eragon and Eldest. The third book,
Brimsingr is out in hardcover on March. I'm waiting for the paperback because
I'm broke I haven't read Abhorsen yet. Was planning to borrow it from my
friend. Well, talk about scary, I'd say Neil Gaiman's Coraline is another good
example.
Nyaa, but right now I'm obsessed with Terry Pratchett's Discworld books
Witty, funny, a very unique style! Here's the excerpt of one of his book called
"Mort" clicky
^_^ I can't stop laughing
Oh my God! That excerpt was so darn funny! HAHAHA! Goodness, why does Death want
another job that badly..Looks like he ended up working with a woman who is gonna
be his nightmare... gosh and that stumble when he used small caps instead (which
means he's puttig up a show really).. man, it's too funny, I have to find that
book some day. And Keeble was way too desperate; tooth fairy?! Haven't had such
a good laugh at a book for a while! Thank you for showing me it!
Pratchett cunningly put in a mention of Sandman. That's one of Neil Gaiman's
creations if I'm not mistaken, the master of dreams or something like that.
That's another book I want to read. It's a graphic novel originally..Pratchett
and Gaiman are like good friends, and they wrote Good Omens together..yet
another book I want. Haha.
You don't like first person viewpoint in books? Well, I get it that some books
don't really handle it well..can get draggy.. but sometimes, it can produce
really funny results. ^.^ What's Coraline about again? All I remember is a
creepy cover..
Cat was snooty? Yeah, all the attention evidently didn't do him good.. but he's
got a good heart underneath all that, something some characters lack..
Have you read any of Holly Black's? I read Spiderwick and Valiant. Valiant
because Salma (phoenixalcott) aroused my interest in it.. she loved Tithe and
all the Faerie stuff. But they aren't the cutesy fairy tales.. nah uh, they're
the old Faerie with their haunting beauty and dark sides, as well as a scorn for
humans for being too thick-headed to keep the world's natural order.. Valiant's
not quite a typical fantasy read either..
Quote by gabychanThanks for the
explanation Kristina (er, do you mind if I called you that?)
I added you to my watch list.
My favorite anime... I used to like Rurouni Kenshin a lot, but recently I love
D-Grayman the most.
So, what about you? What's your favorite anime?
Nyaa you have so many vectors you're working on... Can't wait to see them when
they're finished. Especially the AIR one
Thank you so much for the congrats, BTW ^_^
you can call me Kristina, but i prefer Kris, or Yoru...how do you want me to
call you?
i have many faves...Anime: Tsubasa| D gray man| Code Geass| Full Metal

Thanks for adding me back
You asked me my favorite Diana Wynne Jones book in the Ghibli thread... I'm
going to reply here instead, I don't think it's proper to discuss it there since
it has nothing to do with Ghibli ^_^
It's hard to say which one is my favorite... I love all Chrestomanci series, but
the ones I like the most are The Magicians of Caprona, Conrad's Fate, and The
Lives of Christopher Chant. I also love Howl's Moving Castle, of course. I
haven't read The Castle in the Air and the Dalemark Quartets, but I plan to do
that in the future. The ones I don't like so much are Hexwood and Merlin's
Conspiracy.
How about you?
I love young adults fantasy books. Actually, I prefer the over anime or manga :p
Other than Diana W.J. books, the other series I like are the Inheritance
trilogy, Chronicles of Narnia, and the Bartimaeus trilogy.
Oh okay, I get your point. Yeah, the rest of her books don't have much to do
with Ghibli.. I liked The Lives of Christopher Chant best, I think, of the
Chrestomanci series.. though with a recent rereading of Magicians of Caprona, I
was in love again. Haha. I kind of had to read Conrad's Fate between long
intervals because I was going back to and fro from the bookstore to read it.
But Charmed Life was quite interesting too! After all, we didn't know at once
about Cat's secret.. Do you know that Diana Wynne Jones has written an
additional book to the series called Pinhoe Egg? I didn't get to finish it
before they were all sold out.. sad, but true..
Haven't read Dalemark Quartets either. It's kind of hard sometimes to get hold
of her books.. I spent nearly a year just to finish Howl's Moving Castle because
I couldn't buy the book and the bookstores sold it quick.. yes, it's odd..
Actually, I quite liked Merlin's Conspiracy. For me, it was like reading a
collaboration of Diana and Garth Nix, the author of the Abhorsen Series. It's
been a while since I read Hexwood..but I remember enjoying it. The timeline was
as bad as Suzumiya Haruhi. lol. One never was quite sure if that character was
really what he or she seemed..
Yes, I love young adult fantasy! Hmm..is the Inheritance trilogy the one with
Eragon and Eldest? Yeah, liked that too. And of course, I have read Narnia!
However, I do find reading the originals with the inked illustrations more
enjoyable..*biased* :p
Bartimaeus.. meant to read it when I was 15, but the constant footnotes
distracted me a tad much at that time so never finished it. Ever read Abhorsen?
The concept is interesting and a bit scary but I love Garth Nix's style. And
Spiggot's Quest is on my list too..
Well, I usually do this with phoenixalcott (Salma to me) and TreeFaerieAaliyah
(or Aali for short). It's nice to find another fellow bookworm. Haha.
Hi gabychan! Thanks for adding me as a friend. ^.^ Okay, now, that I've seen

yes it does, when you put someone to watchlist, you cant put him to friendlist,
so i would suggest you to put me in watchlist...there is a difference between
them:
watchlist-shows you in notifications the newest walls of the people you put to
watch
friendlist-shows you in notifications the newest forum threads of the people you
put to watch
so the best thing is too: if the user dosent have any gallery items and you want
to be friend him/her put in friendlist, but if it does have gallery items it's
best to put it in watchlist if u want ofcourse....
i know some stuff on mt(minitokyo) so if you want to know just ask...
