jak-san, I uploaded the skin on my own page to test ...and it diesnt look so
great!
like, the Akabane needs to be bigger, the "GetBackers" need to be
Capped and moved a bit down cuz its covered in the ads.... then it is tooo
dark,....nothing is legible!
I shall upload it tonight though so that you guys can work on the content if you
want color matchiing it with the skin, but I sill need to work on it, and would
be doin so ok?

Anyways, I wouldn't call your review a rant. You've properly voiced out your
opinion though it was rather in a "informal" tone, it was quite
concise.
You gonna do a review on FFIII?
Most probably yeah, once I'm done with the game. I still have Kirie hard on
heels- yeep. Damn, Kei's useless. Not to mention I ran out of the
-what?-purifying candle or something?

btw let me tell you, my laptop display is on low brightness, ( it hurts my eyes
otherwise... ) So I can't tell if the BLACK of Akabane and the BLACK of the BG
are matching...so please do point it out, I'll lower the brightness further....
( or in the extreme case vector it ' )
I wanted to let you know that I appreciated your comments on my review of the
first Vampire Hunter D movie.
In reply to what you'd posted in the review:
Thank you very much for your imput and ideas with the text preview.
I appreciate it all... the good with the bad. I have to
learn to write better reviews somehow.
I do want to point out that I absolutely adore the Vampire Hunter D novels and I
was just very disappointed with what happened with the first movie. I wanted to
rate it higher, but I just couldn't in good conscience. I know that it happens
when a book is brought into movie format. You're always disappointed somehow.
This time, I don't blame the author but the low budget and the year it was made
(I'm sure I made that clear in my review ).
Perhaps if the movie had been made a few years later, things would've been much
better and more thought would've been put into its production.
The music was pretty awful. It did portray the desolation of a postapocalypse
world, but was twangy and synthisized so much it was obnoxious. The other
characters- namely Doris, Larmica, and Magnus Lee were overacting sometimes and
underacting other times. There really wasn't a "happy medium" with
their voice acting in my opinion.
Thanks again for your imput and assistance.
I hope you'll take a look at any other reviews of mine in the future and let me
know what you think.

jak-san, can you gimme a week more please? I got cut off from MT for a few days
because of my internet problems... amanda will be doin sumthin for the group
contents mean while..

Quote by jakulitoI was reading this with
a grin in my face expecting every sentence to be another blasting after reading
part of the first section.
Seriously, I liked the way you described this show without... wait... hmm...
leaning towards dissing and managed to give it that average feel.
On to the anime itself...

A total crap ass of an anime I spent watching
three days on my ass which revolves around nothing but a male harem and music.
Um, do take my advice and stay away from this series. Seriously. I have this
ominous feeling that if you ever watched it, and intended to review it, a heavy
mass butchering would explode.

Credit card companies love it when young college students go into credit card
trouble... because mommy and daddy are always there to bail them out. Anyways,
where'd that continent-hopping stuff came from... like that's pretty far out.
Good luck on visiting them all... as for me, I'll just stick Google Earth. Beats
the hell out of travel expenses.
Ahh yes so true. The only difference is that it's my mom that is in debt. I'll
have to bail them out!^_^
I've always wanted to travel. I've just made up my mind and I'm going to do it.
My dad says it won't happen but I'm determined no matter what is pesamistic
ideas are!^_^
Google Earth is a terrible thing. Everytime I look on it I just want to jump
through the screen and be there but I can't!:( It makes me sad. It does beat
travel expenses, but you miss out on all the people you could meet. You don't
get to put your feet in sand and climb a new mountian.
If you're this busy while you're studying how about when you're working... what
do you do for fun now, misa? Stack boxes higher than you? Come on, you must miss
hangin' out with us a lil' bit...
.... in fact working will probably be more hectic than uni right now. I've had
several friends in the same course (different universities but it doesn't
matter) go into the profession and find themselves working 12 hours +. It
doesn't compare to menial work, but when you have several all nighters in a row,
meh.
As for what I do in my spare time, I have other things to organise. Of course I
will drop in every now and then, but I doubt Minitokyo will be my priority from
now on. Too much stuff to deal with normally u_u
Quote by jakulitoThis piece is very

You did a great job on the linework on the character and the overall texture
complements the piece very well.

Quote by jakulitoIt looks really good
though the text on the right side ain't lookin' too good for me. It just pulls
you away from the feel of the wallpaper. You could try incorporating it in more
subtly to, just like you said, provide connection if it does indeed turn out to
be a series.
Anyways, nice work... after a long waller's block you bring out some good
stuff.
To be honest, I had no idea what to do with the text. The resolution of the
original wallpaper was OK for my monitor, but the standard resolutions at MT
didn't include mine, so I had to make it a bit wider. And since I didn't have
anything else to fill the extra space with, I thought, hey, why not put the text
there? ^_^; I'm not very fond of it either, though.

I dunno about your parents but for me, life is what you make it. Fill it with
pain and you're definitely not gonna enjoy it. I suggest you just face it head
on, go with it like I do; Enjoy every moment.
Thanks Thoughs are kind words I needed to hear. But to lighten the mood of our
subject I have 5 more days left of High School and then freedom............ for
the summer. Then off to college. But while I'm in college I plan to see the
world and rack up a huge debt!^_^ But who cares about money. My goal is
to visit every continent before I'm 40!^_^ I don't think I'll do it because
Antartica is freezing but the other 6 look good! I've already got North America
so I have 5 left to go.
Is that fire on the background? Its kinda hard to tell. And IMO, it doesn't
really go well with the foreground. I understand what's the meaning of this
piece but it just doesn't feel in sync with the character and flowers and
all.
Click me!
The areas highlighted by red are areas of contrast. Light foreground on light
background doesn't go very well. Though the large strokes does help defining
your character more. You could also try giving it a more defined blazing inferno
background. The more animated it looks or the more sense of motion it conveys
will definitely bring the focus on the character.
The flowers on the upper left side doesn't look balanced (highlighted by white).
They look like they were just copy-pasted on there. Also the branch that's
behind the character looks like its part of her hair (highlighted with cyan). It
looks off. I suggest moving it around her silhouette and try to work out its
angle and position. And I don't know if I should mention this but you're
signature is rather large and the Vista-esque taskbar... definitely
overkill.
Overall you got great stuff here. I love the detail work on the flower and
characters but its definitely the background that needs work.
I suppose it is fire. Since all I did was replicate the picture, I didn't really
feel like making detailed flame work. I wouldn't really know how anyways. I do
see the areas of concern that you brought up that will be worked on though. I
know computer screens are different...but the area around the hair is pretty
distinct where the head and branch are. I didn't know how big the signature was
either since I made it for my 1920 x 1200 laptop, but I made it on my sister's
1440 x 990 laptop (parents...). I usually make the signature so it is precisely
covered by the toolbar at the bottom. But I couldn't really tell, so I guessed.
Quote by jakulitoStep 2? You've got a
list for that sorta stuff? Maybe you've been babied too much... heheehe
j/k
No, I have no plans actually. The step 2 is more to help me face the future. My
parents have pretty much told me that life is nothing but pain and there is no
fun in it. But yes i have been babied too much. I can admit it. But I have had
my share of work and pain. Though Having a list might help me out!
Quote by jakulitoI opted not to post

I'd have to just post now.
Anyways on to my rev-rant... wait, I ain't got a rev-rant... I'd just be saying
what sho said. And no, you don't write like sho. He's conceited. Good review,
Maple. I'd suggest a little humour since I get a sense of reading a brochure
with this one, I ain't referring to the content just the feeling.
I love you, Maple... sho's a liar.
Oh right, I just replied

Thanks. I'm if I were to attempt humour, it'd come out like shoujoboy's
attempts... or worse DX But I'll try, for you.

still just kids and I get yet at because they are 18 year old adults ready for
life...........and I'm not. That is why I have College step 2 in preparations
