Sure, no problem. Though to tell you the truth, I do wonder exactly how my

Quote by aozoraskiesThis is a
wonderful piece, abul! I like how you kept it all in a sort of soft, golden
light and then painted her eyes in so luminescent..my attention was drawn to
those eyes and the yearning in them... As always, the wings are beautiful. And
with soft painting, her hair seems to have more volume somehow; I love how it
curls and waves in the breeze that blows flowers by...well, this really deserves
its place in the elite gallery.
May I ask how you painted the outlines? I know temarigenius already asked this
but I'm curious too... did you play about with the brush shape dynamic? I
suppose you had a tablet...sigh, a tablet really makes photoshopping easier; I
wish I had one. But all my chances to win some prize money so that I can afford
one were blown by one teacher who seems to bear some sort of grudge against
me... T.T
Well, don't let me bore you! This is wonderful work!
EDIT: Okay, it's pretty ridiculous having to edit a COMMENT of all things but I
just downloaded the full size version after realising that I was looking at a
smaller one. So I noticed that your outlines actually look like pen
lines..interesting. So I guess you really do have a tablet then. Lucky you! It
looks even more gorgeous now. ^.^
thxalot
i wish i had time to reply every phrase of ur comment but im pressed so ill just
let u know how i painted it
-hard brush 3, shape dynamics, tablet
-coliuring is done with hard brush 15-30, smudge tool strengh 50% size

Welcome to the Wings Lovers group. Its nice to have you as our newest member. ^^
I hope you enjoy our group and visit us often. If you have any questions or
comments, feel free to ask.
Quote: WOW! just looked at your
Jigoku Shoujo wallpaper. Impressive! I like the butterfly pattern and the
softness as if it's really painted there. And the shiinnneee... I can see the
foundations of a great wall. I would like to know, did you vector the patterns
or took it from somewhere and if so, where? And a little nitpicking; her hand is
kind of small...sorry. I know it may be because she looks a bit chibi, but I
would not like to see your work put down simply because of that.. so fix it if
you can. Please?
Had a laugh at the rip. It was so darn obvious! Goodness, he or she must have
been pretty desperate. But it kind of hit me that in the month I was away, a lot
of stuff must have been going on in Minitokyo...because I've been checking the
frontpage a lot now and I don't think I have seen those before..-_-
Can't claim that I am an expert in photoshop painting..I just go about it like
plain art once I found out the basics. But if you want, you can ask me for help.
I will try and aid in whatever way I can.
My vector is going sooo slowly. I feel like giving up this pic and doing
something that already has colour so that I won't have such a hard time with
it... but then there's something about one of the charas I drew that looks so
sad I dont have the heart to just let her go uncompleted...yeah it's weird, I
know. So I think I will TRY to finish vectoring her at least then move on to
vector something simpler for someone's birthday present...speaking of which,
when's your birthday?
I cannot really see why it should be hard to add friends...I mean, you hold
discussions with them about art, you obviously like each other's style, you
belong to the same groups, you are real friendly with each other, you like the
same anime, common interests...lol. What's so hard to decide? But then I guess
you might be shy...though that surprises me in some ways and seems right in
others...
Well, see you around! If you like to know more about my vector, I'll pm you or
something!
aozoraskies
Heh, thanks! ^_^ I'm hoping it turns out well. The butterflies and sakura petals
are all vectored with no painting. I
know my way with gradients and burn and dodge, so that's the closest I can get
to a painted feeling. I
used only 1 pattern so far, which is the blue one where the butterflies are. The
brown one is a texture in the picture, but I decided to vector it since it had
kind of a fuzzy texture...which I didn't like...I believe I got the textures
from either a torrent or off of Deviantart. I downloaded tons a long time ago
and just use them whenever I can. Sorry I can't get a direct link though! I know
I always used to search "Seamless fabric," "Seamless
textures," "Oriental patterns," and "High resolution paper
textures." Hope that helps...
I see what you mean about Enma's hand, but traced it exactly off of the scan I
uploaded, so I don't know how to fix it...I guess I could expand it...maybe I'll
try that and see what happens. But then again, Enma's a pretty petite girl, so I
don't know...
I forgot to circle the one above in the rip picture, the one with the
"big" girl...if you know what I mean...all the person did was crop the
original that was already up on MT! ..................................sigh. I
don't know why people do it, but oh well. I don't things even cost credits even
more. If you saw in the picture I have like 700 because whenever I download
stuff it says they are free. Is it like that for you? If it is, I wonder why
everything is free now...
About the painting, have you ever painted wood before? I'm totally clueless on
how to start...I saw a tutorial in Paint-o-Rama, but it didn't help much...
I hope you finish your vector too. You just have to remember (even though it's
kind of a general statement...), with more practice, vectoring will take less
time. You'll pick up some shortcuts along the way and be like...wow...I can't
believe I didn't do this before. Me being a person who doesn't like to spend a
lot of time on the same project so it is understandable to want to give up. BUt
you can do it. Vectors from personal works are even cooler than vectors from an
anime series because they are unique and you know you will never have seen it
before. So I'm looking forward to it! And my birthday isn't until October
5th.
Quote by aozoraskies
This is good! I like the stained glass windows and the dim moonlight filtering
through...your vectoring skills aren't bad at all. While it would have been nice
to see the roses vectored, I do so like that burnished look they have. Great
job! good concept! I suppose I should fave...
Quote: You see, Scott?! I'm not the
only one who wants to see that picture vectored. It would be really cool, I bet.
After all, you did a wonderful job with Time To Relax. That really gave out a
comforting and relaxing air. And seeing your taste and style when I took a look
at your Myspace, I don't think it will be hard for you to give the vector that
tense, dramatic feel. By the way, I was quite surprised by what I saw on that
page...you are a lot wilder than I initially thought. Haha. Anyway, hope you get
your vector done. Reply to my pm when you can. And also, you have so many people
commenting on your page; why am I and the Maigetsu the only ones on your
friendlist?! And for painting, have you checked paint-o-rama yet? Sorry, do I
sound too demanding? I don't mean to...
I guess I have to get that Interlude project done then. I never knew people
wanted to see it! But I really want to do this Hell Girl wallpaper first! It
has a lot of texture which looks like a lot of fun... I have the card from the
DVD on my desk so I see it everyday and it's really tempting me to make it a
wallpaper..So I don't know..1 more wall before the Interlude vector. ^^
Haha, believe me, I am the furthest thing from wild...the only thing that may
make me seem wild is the music I listen to, because it is....loud... But other
than that, nothing that unusual.
Well, I wasn't sure on who to add...lol. I don't know all that many people
still.
I have looked at the Paint-o-Rama's tutorials and they have some stuff that I
was able to use, but not really the stuff I was looking for. Maybe I'll recheck
it and see if they added any new stuff.
Quote by aozoraskiesI love the
shimmering, whimsical lighting! That's what drew me in. ^.^ And there are those
hazy bright sakura petals being blown across the scene...surreal. Her hair flows
so silkily, her kimono is exquisitely patterned with those beautiful yet simple
dark roses, her skin has an unearthly but wonderful sheen, her expression is of
such confidence and innocence, the butterfly wings stretch out like they were
freshly unfolded for that special first flight...I love your style all right.
And once again, a doujinshi has driven me to exercise my descriptive skills. She
is so elegant! Do you have a tablet or are you stuck with a mouse like me,
struggling with lines? I have to change the brush settings a lot of times to get
it right... Well, this definitely deserves its highlight and my fave!
see you around
aozoraskies
lol - i have a tablet but you can do those sort of lines with a mouse cause i
used the pen tool (p) in photoshop - the one the often used for vectors. cause u
just click, click then alter the line so it flows how you want. if u dont
understand wat i mean then check up a vector tutorial? cause they'll have the
pen tool i mean - i suck with explainations
No prob! :3 The admins are hard to understand sometimes, 'specially if you're
new at uploading the stuff here in MT! But they don't mean any harm really!
If you have any other questions, I'll do the best I can to help! :3
Quote by aozoraskies*Gasps* I cant
believe this is a vector. In fact I cant believe it was digitally made. I
thought you painted it yourself with watercolour and I was already very
impressed then! Gosh! It's wonderful! great lighting, nice soft yet somehow rich
(to my eye) colours, subtle textures....it's a beauty. I don't favour a lot of
art noveau but this captured my eye and heart. Totally faving it.
Thanks so much ^_^
It's definitely digitally done, I think it would have been impossible for me do
it as a real watercolour - 'cos you can't delete mistakes that way!
I'm glad you liked it and thanks for taking the time to let me know that you
did.
Quote by aozoraskiesThe idea is
great, their hair shimmers so irridescently, their eyes are beautifully haunting
(Kamui looks aghast at what he is doing) and the outlines for the wings are so
thin and smooth it really does look rather CLAMP style. I like it. Are they in
some sort of time paradox or something? Gosh it must be painful doing all those
timepieces and gears. Fave!
thank you for the fav and comment on my wall "The lost art of keeping a
secret"

And I'd love to add that submission to the gallery! It looks great! Thanks soooo

And no prob about the code! Go to http://www.imageshack.us/
and click "Browse", select your pic from whatever location it is. and
upload it. Ignore the first 4 codes at the top (those are thubnail).
Go to the next set of codes underneath where it shows the pic thumbnail and copy
the code that gives a description saying it's for "forums". Should be
the first of that set. The third one in that set is the code for websites. It
will show if you put it in your userpage or in the club's content. Posting any
code in the club guestbook will be fine, I will take care of it from there! ^^
If you want, you can even post it in my guestbook. Whatever works for you.
Srry for writing so much! If you need anything don't be shy to ask any of us at
