Since you are a member of the doujinshi-support-club, I would like to inform you
about the new changes going around there. We have been discussing this in the GB
of the group but we also want to know your opinion! So here it is:
1st .- The Monthly Doujinshi Display -->
We are now putting up the Monthly Doujinshi Display Corner for those who wish to
see their artworks displayed and those who wants their doujins to improve. The
idea is this:
[1]To submit your doujins along with your link via PM to any of those in charge
to display the doujins. (Right now:ephemeral-garden and pegassuss)
[2]Volunteers are needed to in charge of the displays. Volunteers should be used
to toggling HTMLs, so those who're interested in helping out, please PM ephemeral-garden and pegassuss.
2nd .- 'The artist of the Month' -->
After 1 month, if there is enough doujinshis that have been displayed, we'll
have our Doujinshi Artist of the Month. Every member of the group will then vote
for one artist to be 'the artist of the month' by posting them in the guestbook
of the doujinshi group, or if you prefer you can PM your decision to pegassuss (if you wish to help count
votes just say it!). Judges are not restricted to anyone in this group, anyone
can vote for their favourite artist of the month by posting them in the
guestbook. If you're still confused on what I'm trying to say, ask ephemeral-garden or pegassuss straight in the
face!.
Please read the following statement before:
- There will be no judges, everyone will be able to give their opinion and vote
by posting in the GB of the group the name of the artist who, in their opinion,
is the best one, or the one who has made the most substantial improvements.
Several persons will be then, in charge of counting the votes. (collaborators
needed!)
- There will be a month to vote, so everybody will have time to think and see
the piece of work with no hurry. Don't wait until the end! ^_~
- Once one artist has been elected 'artist of the month' it will not be possible
to choose him/her again, at least, not until an agreed period of time, because
if not, we run the risk of seeing the same artist every month, and that is not
the purpose of this idea.
These are the basic ideas, if you want to collaborate, to give your opinion or
anything, please feel free to post in the GB! We hope to see you around there

Hello everyone! I'm back after a really long while... My absence has been due to
the fact that my pc caught Trojan virus, therefore terminating itself whenever I
connect to the internet... I've really missed this place and I'm glad to be back
after more than a month now... Being without the computer was a tough challenge
for me...

should take all the credit for all the hard work... without the support of some

the Contest would be nothing. Sad about Part 2 (Caption Writing), but OK
lang.... lesson learned: 'have to think small, start small muna, masyadong

Now, where to start?
I guess I can kinda see what you mean by making a special effort with
wallpapers, but before I did this on Minitokyo, I used to do a lot of reviewing
on Garageband which is a music site. It was free, and I used to write lots of
paragraphs about the music, the same as I do on here, just because the artists
deserved it rather than just "good work" etc. I guess it's always been
in my blood to nag on about lots of different things in pieces of art huh?!
i really feel bad when I discover that there are a lot of posts made by a lot of
people who just write "Good work" or "fav" and just leave it
like that. Part of me wishes to inspire people to write a lot more about the
work they are loving, because it truely appreciates what is there. But I would
be happy to have just made one person happy, than to change the entire website.
Lol, and the mods and admins kick butt, they know what to do, when to do it and
really help to keep this website alive. Plus, they use reasonable force to be
friendly and keep the website under control. Perfection!!
As for the level thing, I guess that maybe its quite easy to see from some
members who are suddenly level one, then submit lots of 'low quality' wallpapers
and then suddenly they are level 40 and they haven't got any better. I would
rather really work on the wallpapers that I do, really put effort into them and
explore photoshop (Which I am not really good with) and really put an effort
into it....I hate knowing it there is a wallpaper with a stuck on scan with a
plain background, or whats worse is when I see images which aren't done by the
people they are submitted by. That really gets my goat the most!!
Lol, and I love having people as my friends on this website, its very nice to
meet so many nice friendly new people, and to learn culturally and artistically
from each other. Thats the great part about minitokyo, it has a nice community
(in places - some arguments I have seen just look nasty!)
And don't worry about it *hug* I will always be here for you should you need
advice or a shoulder to cry on, or just to whinge or talk about minitokyo, so
keepit up and stay in touch. That way it will be ultra awesome!
Sorry I haven't been online in a long time, loads of work to do. Must get on and
do some more of it!
