How far from the fires? I remember evacuating in 2003, and the smell was awful,
we didn't get the ash and smell out for months, and the vehicles smelt terrible
as well. I hope you stay safe and nothing happens. That is one thing I do not
miss about living in Cali was the fires, but now I have to worry about
everything else including hurricanes!

Yeah I don't have any of those friendship network sites, I'm too paranoid, so
maybe if you put it on Youtube or something then I can see it.
Her name's Linda Eder, you can see a video of her here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbICv_iJRD0
That's a little old so her high range sounds pretty forced but she's gotten so
much better in her recent stuff.
I really don't know if I'm going to be able to go, I've only got a few days to
get the money together and I kinda already exhausted my emergency money stashes
last time I wanted to go to something like this (that was just a month ago ). Oh
well, if I do end up not going it's not a huge deal, I've seen her live before
in Las Vegas, but I'd so love to meet her.
Cool ^^ I hope you enjoyed the show. How was it ? I also hope you took some
pictures ^_^
Yes it's true the "social networks" site aren't a great place for
paranoids ... There is like no privacy at all ... I'll try to upload the video
on Youtube so. The problem is that my connection often dies before the upload
finishes as the video is a bit big ... But i'll give it a try ^^
Might Linda Eder be the original interprete of somewhere over the rainbow ? I
heard her version which is really smooth.
Well i wish you'll have the chance to meet her. She's pretty good.

thanks for your answer about Chobits stuff. But i think i'm not fan enough to
pay 110$ for some posters ^_^" The other reason is that I did recently
order a lot of Suzuhira hiro stuff and my wallet is quite empty
I wondered, do you have some picture of you with one of your dresses ^_^ ? I
remember you showed me some pictures a long time ago ; so i'm wondering how lady
marissa looks in her classy outfit ^_^
Woah 200$ to meet your favourite singer. Can i know who she is ? I think that's
a great opportunity ; i think i could pay if i also had the opportunity. Well if
i could pay obviously * feels the wind in his wallet *
Ho Marissa if you have some facebook account, i uploaded there a video of my new

I couldn't upload it to myspace as the size was a bit too big ... Don't know
why.
Talk to you soon ^_^

Do those mods have names? And how do

well i dont much remember them since they retired for a long time..
but maybe they are not aware since i'm not good in uploading episodes...

I've been doing pretty good I guess, kinda gave up on Clamp just a few weeks ago
so now I'm selling almost all my Clamp stuff (want any of it? I'll give you a
discount. :P)
^__^ It's good to have some news from you. So you gave up on Clamp ? Can i ask
you what made you sell all your stuff O_O ? I'm still into their style because
of the work they did for Chobits, RG Veda, X and xxxHolic. I must say i don't
really know much more about what they do ^_^"
So who is your favourite artist of the moment ?
If you want (i'd be glad to), you can listen to some of my recordings on my
myspace page ( http://www.myspace.com/papyworld ).
It's still old recordings made with my other bass. Now i received the new one,
i'll have to record new things. I also wish to join a new band next year.
Currently i play with a band composed of 100 classical guitar ; it's quite fun
^_^ I'm the bassist in that formation so i'm like the black sheep among the rest
of the sheeps ^_^
And besides all of this, how is life and school going ?
I saw the website in your signature ... It's sad people react this way. But it

Quote: Tsubasa really REALLY went
down the toilet. There are multiple clones/identical twins using the same name,
yaoi-like vampires, and dressing in Gothic clothes just for the fun of it. It's
like a really bad fan fiction, but it's for real. And what burns me even more is
that people still like it (I'm glad to see that it lost a lot of its popularity
in Japan though).
So I kinda re-examined all the Clamp stuff I've read and realized...it's not
that good! The art is nice, yes, but most of the stories kinda suck.
But I still like xxxHolic (right now it's going through an arc focusing on the
various forms of child abuse, which most of the other fans don't like, but I'm
really fascinated by it). I also still like X but I'm selling it because I just
think they're never going to finish it. I don't think they've ever re-started
work on something they left unfinished, X is no different.
Right now I guess my favorite artist is Chiho Saito. Her art is very pretty
(even if the style is rather old-fashioned) and she writes very nice romantic
stories. For art style I still really like Narumi Kakinouchi, but I can't read
her stuff because it's out of print here and really hard to find. And nobody
scanlated it.
So yeah, I'm selling it. I really got back into live theater lately, but it's
such an expensive hobby (even more because I like to buy a new dress every month
or two to wear to shows. Sometimes I want a new jacket and shoes too. ). I love
seeing people sing and act though, it's so fun.
I can't wait for this semester to end, I'm going to finish my AA degree and
start working while I get my bachelors, then hopefully I'll have plenty of money
for seeing shows and getting new clothes.
How was Italy? Did you get to see the museums and stuff or too busy with
school?
Are you really in a band though? That sounds more like a string orchestra! :P
I think i get your point with Tsubasa. I read til the volume 17 and i'm like you
a bit disapointed with how the story evolves. For xxxHolic, i have had a crush
on the story and on the artwork from the beginning. I think i read until the
volume 10 and i'm quite happy that the story is a bit moving now ^_^
I must also agree with you about the Clamp stories. I especially liked the
artwork of Chobits, X , xxxHolic and RG Veda. The rest didn't touched me really
much.
Talking about this, if you're selling some artwork about Chobits i might be
interested
About X It seems they won the trial against their editor if i heard well. So
there might be a chance to see a sequel ... But i doubt a a bit about that
Thanks for telling me about your favourite artist ^^ I didn't know them ; i'm
gonna try to see what their art is like ^_^ I felt a bit in love with Closet
Child's Konoe Ototsugu style. I'm really fascinated by her universe, her strange
lines and the way she design eyes. I'm just a bit disapointed she's also a
"hentai" artist ... I'm not liking the really strange scenes she can
imagine
Live theater ? Do you attend to opera too ? Waw now i can't get my mind out off
imagining you in a nice dress ^__^ You sure look like baroness Marissa I also
like theater but i never attended to an opera ^_^ I did some theater when i was
younger and i keep really good memories of it.
Aww you're getting your degree this year too ? I'm wishing you good luck then
^_^ I heard today from my thesis coordinator that i again have to add a new
topic to my thesis ... It's killing me I hope
i'll finish on time. Do you also have to write a thesis ? I guess you have to ;
that's a stupid question ^^"
Ho Italy was really really fun. I visited some cities like Firenze , Bologna,
Pisa (where i lived), Perrugia and Lucca. We didn't really visit a lot of
museums but we saw nice things. Actually we met a lot of friends there , lots of
foreign students like me and my friend living there. So at the end it was more a
party atmosphere than a cultural atmosphere , you see ^_^" But besides that
, working there was really great too ^_^
I remember you talking me once about coming near Belgium ; do you still plan
that ?
Hehe about bands, i was searching for the word orchestra but i didn't find it so
i said "band" ^_^ Yes it's more an orchestra. I'm not any more a part
of a band now except of this orchestra. I quit my 2 bands this year because of
my 5 months stay in Italy. But i'd really to join a new band next year if the
work i'll do next year permits it ^_^
Ho, and how is your guitarist friend doing ? Is she playing in some band too
?
By the way, did you listen to the stuff on my myspace ; i'd love to have your
feedback ^^
Actually they were a like rock band or something, hear them all the time - but
it was this one time that they mentioned they were from American Idol after the
song finished, I'd never have never guessed that. I think the
lead only placed in the top 10.
A 'meet and greet' is pretty damn cool, at least it sounds like the money's
going to charity and not their pockets.

If I were you I'd have that pen in a glass display cabinet by now. When you're
in such an exciting environment you always fprget to do things! I forgot to take
my camera to CATS the second time I went. (I was REALLY peeved. )
It's hard to look good in spontaneous pictures anyway (a good use for photoshop
) and at
least it was worth your money! If it was a waste of that much money that would
have been the biggest let down, in my opinion. And if all it took was to seel
textbooks then it was well worth it!
Textbooks are no fun. Oh well,
it's awesome you had such a good time!
This is definitely not a moan or complaint about a deletion it is a request for
advice on how to put an item in the "Sandbox" etc. I've spent the last
2 hrs searching the site without success.
I don't really care if an item is deleted but it puzzles me that a lot of
members add it to their fav list very shortly after I upload it (so they think
it's good) and then shortly afterwards it gets quarantined despite meeting all
the criteria e.g. size of image, suitable for all ages, etc. So I would then
like to add it to e.g. the Sandbox, and I can't find the darned thing!
I think they got all the best singers, then held another audition with the
people that got through to see who could act the best. But I did get the feeling
that some of the best singers didn't get through because they weren't
as...aesthetically pleasing, as the school would have liked.
But I don't know what the Hell was going
on at the audition my friend was at. When she
told me she was the lead I should have congratulated her but I didn't really say
anything, I was too busy trying not to say "WTF?" in front of her.
That is one major YOU SUCK to recieve! Considering they probably dished out
extra money just to hire professionals. But if
people usually got in because they were pitied and not because they had real
talent, then I guess they wanted something to be really exceptional.

Wow! That would be enough encouragement to get you to the end week. And it's
cool that your friends want to go, do they know it or are they just interested
to find out?
The concept of a fan-boy is kind of
freaky - girls, sure but...guys aren't meant to care that much about something.
Bad acting...not good. But
I guess it's better than bad singing - you can just shut your eyes during bad
acting, but you can't block out the sound
that's telling the story.
merged: 02-17-2008 ~ 02:13pm
That's the problem; it's hard to get someone who's good at both singing and acting - anyone who is is probably
ridiculously faous already and only performs in major productions.
What was the problem with her acting? Not really knowing how to act and overacting?
Quote: In other news I hear they
announced the leads for the Australian production, and one of the male leads is
famous from being on Australian Idol. That's not very encouraging.
Least encouraging subtitle to a performer's name EVER.
merged: 02-22-2008 ~ 03:01pm
In such a heavy acting roll I could understand overacting, but I don't see how
someone could act deadpan with all those emotions going on.
I heard a great song on the radio the other day (can't remeber what it was ) and when
they read out the artists name they said that they were from American Idol or
something. I found that quite surprising. So yeah,
great performers can be found by talent shows, but...Australia. When
you're born in New Zealand you have the dislike of Australia ingrained in your
culture. And their accents are nasty! Ugh,
does NOT help with their singing voice if it somes through.
And my computer dislikes me so the
video won't play.
merged: 02-26-2008 ~ 12:58pm
I remember her, she actually has a
really good voice. Which is unusual, considering most of the winners from any
country's 'Idol' get dropped quickly. I think once
an artist that wins is out on their own without the grandeur of being on TV
people realise they're not actually that great. Or they turn out to be really
bad songwriters, 'cause on the show they were singing other peoples' songs.
I think the singer was only a finalist and not the winner...and male. The
finalists usually end up with better careers than the winners.
Quote by MarissaYou are not allowed to
submit scans as "Self Scanned" unless, of course, you actually scanned
it. I would have though that would be obvious. First
warning.
I think every medication carries a risk for everything, but it's usually a risk of some really tiny
percentage. They just have to stick it in the warnings list so you don't sue
them.
I probably liked the first singer best, her voice was...younger, is the only
word I can think of. Clearer, or something to that effect. Though I did like the
second singer's voice - just not as much with this song.
Our school announced that it's doing several senior productions this year -
though our school has a tendency to create its own musicals.

Quote: How do those turn
out?
I saw a DVD of the production they did when I first started at the school. It
was a storyline built around classic eighties songs they sang at appropriate
moments. The dancing and staging was really good, as were the song choices
because they're better suited to younger voices, appealing to them, and they
already know half of them anyway. Most of the cast don't actually sing though
(lessons, choirs - whatever) and so they didn't really sing with their full
voices. Kind of like they held back because they were too nervous to do
otherwise. And the auditioning is really stupid too, you all sing at once and
they walk around and listen out for good singers. My friend auditioned for a
production that way and got the lead part. And she is one of the worst singers I have ever heard. I was
thinking, "Have they heard you sing, by
yourself ?"
You really don't like that movie. I can't
imagine her singing more pop-ish songs (well, that's what I read it is) mainly
because her voice is so high.
Ew, Britney Spears. I
was at the mall the other day and I saw her CD and was like, "People still
pay money to listen to her?" Nevermind
all the stuff in the media and her personal life, if her music was good it
wouldn't matter. But her songs are just generic smut aimed mostly at people who
aren't even old emough to listen to music with those kinds of themes.

Yeah, before my singing lessons finished up last year I had to practice going up
the scale without moving my jaw to do so. But
you don't notice you're doing it, I imagine it's much the same with moving your
jaw to do vibrato.

I had to take money out of my bank account to go see CATS the second time, and I
still need to replace it. And that's going to be by selling of some of my DVDs
where the rest of the series got boring or the rating went up and I can't buy
the rest. I was very annoyed by that last reason.

Thank God I'm not old enough to have financial trouble. But I guess
I should have a little more money in my bank account than I actually do, my

Shir-shir
It's not fair really. The amount
of actors that come out with albums that are actually not that bad (or sometimes
really good) is getting ridiculous! It's like, "Oh, they can sing now too.
What the Hell? People can practice and practice and never become that good, this
persons already a famous actor earning ridiculous amounts of money, and now
they're able to sing too! No fair." And all the women that do that are
always really pretty too.
The trailers on youtube look really good, but a lot of people have posted saying
they can't see it because of the rating. Ah well, I may have to wait for the
DVD.
Hey, have you seen/heard about the new Tim Burton adaption of "Sweeney
Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street"? It looks really good! (It's not
out here yet. ) I haven't heard any of the music before, and I haven't heard
Johnny Depp sing either, but it's got amazing reviews and awards/nominations. I
can't wait to see it.
Yeah, he was Judas. For some reason I don't mind it when they breathe loudly.
*shrugs* Judas was deranged half of the movie so that's probably why I didn't
notice.
(Sorry for the late reply, I've been on holiday. ^^)
merged: 01-18-2008 ~ 02:49pm
The casting of Alan Rickman perplexed me a bit, I never thought he'd be able to
sing (at all), same thing with a few of the other actors. How did Helena Bonham
Carter sound? I've only heard her sing once, and it was the type of song it's
pretty hard to sound bad singing. Johnny
Depp was in a band once (and I know a few people who like their music) so I
imagine he isn't too bad. I'm still pretty excited about it, even if it wasn't a
musical it still looks like my kind of movie. Tim
Burton's types of movies are exactly to my taste.
I've been told to see Atonement but I
don't see stuff at the movies very often (mostly kids movies for holiday outings
or stuff I really want to see ) and it
doesn't really seem like my thing. From what I've heard it's sad too and I don't
like crying in public places.

I was like...Borat can sing? Though
nowadays you find that actors need to be able to do everything to be able to stay in the buisness. (Which isn't fair
on my opinion, having that much talent.
) Though
apparently his audition was amazing, he sung through practically the entire
score of Fiddler on the Roof. Sondheim was
very impressed with Depp's audition, so I guess it's just down to personal
taste.
By the way, what's it rated where you are? I'm just hoping it won't be R16, I
won't be able to see it. It's just
'R' in Britain (or somewhere) so I don't know how far that extends.

Wow, that was lucky! and probably quite cheap too. Most importantly, was it a
good show? I know what you mean about the clothing issue; one of my friend's
parents took her to the ballet for her birthday, except she didn't get told
where she was going so she was at this fancy show in a sweatshirt and jeans. She
was really embarrassed. In
the reversed order as well, you're all dressed up walking to the theatre and
everyone else is out clubbing or something and they give you funny looks.
Seeing it spontaneously like that must have been pretty fun, going shopping and
ending up seeing it for such a good price! That would have made it all the more
enjoyable, I'd imagine. (The price especially, I know when I went to the opera
and the ticket was $114 it was quite painful. ) Hope you
had a good Christmas and New Years!

She sounds good! Her last few longer notes especially. I suppose
her voice is...well I call it 'unconventionally good', they should be considered
terrible but for some reason you love to listen to them, or a voice that takes
adapting to. One of my favourites singers is like that - Jerome Pradon - his
voice is high and squeaky and just plain weird, but for some reason he's so GOOD (and famous ). No clue.
When I managed to get the only ticket left to see CATS I was in the farthest
corner in the back row, but it was great! I would have been able to see more
than some of the people in the very front, behind speakers and such. And I could
sit on the back of the seat and dance around a little 'cause there was no one
around me.

Yes it's true the "social networks" site aren't a great place for paranoids ... There is like no privacy at all ... I'll try to upload the video on Youtube so. The problem is that my connection often dies before the upload finishes as the video is a bit big ... But i'll give it a try ^^
Might Linda Eder be the original interprete of somewhere over the rainbow ? I heard her version which is really smooth.
Well i wish you'll have the chance to meet her. She's pretty good.
Maybe do you know Eva cassidy ; i think you might like her too ^^ Here is here version of somewhere over the rainbow , i really like it ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUwTdqPkluY&feature=related )
I hope to have some of your news soon ^^
Just a coincidence dear~ I stopped reading fanfic a long time ago ^^;;
Okay, I didn't make the INNOCENCE VECTOR.. it is vectored by my cousin...
thanks for your answer about Chobits stuff. But i think i'm not fan enough to pay 110$ for some posters ^_^" The other reason is that I did recently order a lot of Suzuhira hiro stuff and my wallet is quite empty
I wondered, do you have some picture of you with one of your dresses ^_^ ? I remember you showed me some pictures a long time ago ; so i'm wondering how lady marissa looks in her classy outfit ^_^
Woah 200$ to meet your favourite singer. Can i know who she is ? I think that's a great opportunity ; i think i could pay if i also had the opportunity. Well if i could pay obviously * feels the wind in his wallet *
Ho Marissa if you have some facebook account, i uploaded there a video of my new bass. Here is the link Vid
I couldn't upload it to myspace as the size was a bit too big ... Don't know why.
Talk to you soon ^_^

well i dont much remember them since they retired for a long time..
but maybe they are not aware since i'm not good in uploading episodes...
and i've got few links to offer at that time.
at first i thought it was ok but after saw what just happened yesterday i was alarmed but i hope you could give us an early warning about it so that
*bow*
we could stop it sooner. i hope this situation doesn't go big and i'm not really good dealing this
kind of issues. We're very sorry in behalf of SSL group and xpilot. So hope you could not banned xpilot
since he take the full responsibility about the situation than me taking it over since i'm the founder.
So we're very very sorry and this issue will not be happened it again, thank you in advance
Hi marissa ^_^ I found by chance Clamp 2008 calendar scans made by a certain Marissa
So I thought at coming to say a little hello here ^_^ I don't log often on
msn and my time tables make i rarely see you online
I hope everything's going fine for you and that you haven't turned evil after banning people during more than 1 year here ^_^ As for me, i think everything's going alright ; i finally managed to buy the bass i told you to find information about a long time ago. This year i haven't played a lot in bands as i studied 5 months in Italy ; it was a great experience ^^ So next year i hope i'll be able to restart bands. I also graduate this year *crosses all his finger to write his thesis on time*.
Well well, i hope to have some news from you in the future ^_^ *flying kiss for you ; i'm in a flying kiss mood don't worry ^^*

^__^ It's good to have some news from you. So you gave up on Clamp ? Can i ask you what made you sell all your stuff O_O ? I'm still into their style because of the work they did for Chobits, RG Veda, X and xxxHolic. I must say i don't really know much more about what they do ^_^"
So who is your favourite artist of the moment ?
If you want (i'd be glad to), you can listen to some of my recordings on my myspace page ( http://www.myspace.com/papyworld ). It's still old recordings made with my other bass. Now i received the new one, i'll have to record new things. I also wish to join a new band next year. Currently i play with a band composed of 100 classical guitar ; it's quite fun ^_^ I'm the bassist in that formation so i'm like the black sheep among the rest of the sheeps ^_^
And besides all of this, how is life and school going ?
I saw the website in your signature ... It's sad people react this way. But it seems it's making you laugh ; it's good you take it this way because some posts were quite aggressive ... and even if it's pure virtual comments it can sometime hurt ^^" Well i don't know if i could react like you in the same situation ...
Anyways, for me you're one of the nicest person i met in mt ^_^ *hope i won't get bashed for showing some love here xD*

I think i get your point with Tsubasa. I read til the volume 17 and i'm like you a bit disapointed with how the story evolves. For xxxHolic, i have had a crush on the story and on the artwork from the beginning. I think i read until the volume 10 and i'm quite happy that the story is a bit moving now ^_^
I must also agree with you about the Clamp stories. I especially liked the artwork of Chobits, X , xxxHolic and RG Veda. The rest didn't touched me really much.
Talking about this, if you're selling some artwork about Chobits i might be interested
About X It seems they won the trial against their editor if i heard well. So there might be a chance to see a sequel ... But i doubt a a bit about that
Thanks for telling me about your favourite artist ^^ I didn't know them ; i'm gonna try to see what their art is like ^_^ I felt a bit in love with Closet Child's Konoe Ototsugu style. I'm really fascinated by her universe, her strange lines and the way she design eyes. I'm just a bit disapointed she's also a "hentai" artist ... I'm not liking the really strange scenes she can imagine
Live theater ? Do you attend to opera too ? Waw now i can't get my mind out off imagining you in a nice dress ^__^ You sure look like baroness Marissa
I also
like theater but i never attended to an opera ^_^ I did some theater when i was
younger and i keep really good memories of it.
Aww you're getting your degree this year too ? I'm wishing you good luck then ^_^ I heard today from my thesis coordinator that i again have to add a new topic to my thesis ... It's killing me
I hope
i'll finish on time. Do you also have to write a thesis ? I guess you have to ;
that's a stupid question ^^"
Ho Italy was really really fun. I visited some cities like Firenze , Bologna, Pisa (where i lived), Perrugia and Lucca. We didn't really visit a lot of museums but we saw nice things. Actually we met a lot of friends there , lots of foreign students like me and my friend living there. So at the end it was more a party atmosphere than a cultural atmosphere , you see ^_^" But besides that , working there was really great too ^_^
I remember you talking me once about coming near Belgium ; do you still plan that ?
Hehe about bands, i was searching for the word orchestra but i didn't find it so i said "band" ^_^ Yes it's more an orchestra. I'm not any more a part of a band now except of this orchestra. I quit my 2 bands this year because of my 5 months stay in Italy. But i'd really to join a new band next year if the work i'll do next year permits it ^_^
Ho, and how is your guitarist friend doing ? Is she playing in some band too ?
By the way, did you listen to the stuff on my myspace ; i'd love to have your feedback ^^
Have a great day Marissa, talk to you soon ^^
Actually they were a like rock band or something, hear them all the time - but it was this one time that they mentioned they were from American Idol after the song finished, I'd never have never guessed that.
I think the
lead only placed in the top 10.
A 'meet and greet' is pretty damn cool, at least it sounds like the money's going to charity and not their pockets.

When you're
in such an exciting environment you always fprget to do things! I forgot to take
my camera to CATS the second time I went. (I was REALLY peeved.
)
If I were you I'd have that pen in a glass display cabinet by now.
Hello Marissa,
This is definitely not a moan or complaint about a deletion it is a request for advice on how to put an item in the "Sandbox" etc. I've spent the last 2 hrs searching the site without success.
I don't really care if an item is deleted but it puzzles me that a lot of members add it to their fav list very shortly after I upload it (so they think it's good) and then shortly afterwards it gets quarantined despite meeting all the criteria e.g. size of image, suitable for all ages, etc. So I would then like to add it to e.g. the Sandbox, and I can't find the darned thing!
Gracias - Maritrini
I think they got all the best singers, then held another audition with the people that got through to see who could act the best. But I did get the feeling that some of the best singers didn't get through because they weren't as...aesthetically pleasing, as the school would have liked.
But I don't know what the Hell was going on at the audition my friend was at.
When she
told me she was the lead I should have congratulated her but I didn't really say
anything, I was too busy trying not to say "WTF?" in front of her.
That is one major YOU SUCK to recieve! Considering they probably dished out extra money just to hire professionals.
But if
people usually got in because they were pitied and not because they had real
talent, then I guess they wanted something to be really exceptional.

And it's
cool that your friends want to go, do they know it or are they just interested
to find out?
But
I guess it's better than bad singing - you can just shut your eyes during bad
acting, but you can't block out the sound
that's telling the story.
Wow! That would be enough encouragement to get you to the end week.
The concept of a fan-boy is kind of freaky - girls, sure but...guys aren't meant to care that much about something.
Bad acting...not good.
merged: 02-17-2008 ~ 02:13pm
That's the problem; it's hard to get someone who's good at both singing and acting - anyone who is is probably ridiculously faous already and only performs in major productions.
What was the problem with her acting? Not really knowing how to act and overacting?
Least encouraging subtitle to a performer's name EVER.

) and when
they read out the artists name they said that they were from American Idol or
something. I found that quite surprising.
So yeah,
great performers can be found by talent shows, but...Australia.
When
you're born in New Zealand you have the dislike of Australia ingrained in your
culture.
And their accents are nasty! Ugh,
does NOT help with their singing voice if it somes through.
In such a heavy acting roll I could understand overacting, but I don't see how someone could act deadpan with all those emotions going on.
I heard a great song on the radio the other day (can't remeber what it was
And my computer dislikes me so the video won't play.

I think once
an artist that wins is out on their own without the grandeur of being on TV
people realise they're not actually that great. Or they turn out to be really
bad songwriters, 'cause on the show they were singing other peoples' songs.
The
finalists usually end up with better careers than the winners.
I remember her, she actually has a really good voice. Which is unusual, considering most of the winners from any country's 'Idol' get dropped quickly.
I think the singer was only a finalist and not the winner...and male.
Ooops.
I think every medication carries a risk for everything, but it's usually a risk of some really tiny percentage. They just have to stick it in the warnings list so you don't sue them.
I probably liked the first singer best, her voice was...younger, is the only word I can think of. Clearer, or something to that effect. Though I did like the second singer's voice - just not as much with this song.
Our school announced that it's doing several senior productions this year - though our school has a tendency to create its own musicals.

I saw a DVD of the production they did when I first started at the school. It was a storyline built around classic eighties songs they sang at appropriate moments. The dancing and staging was really good, as were the song choices because they're better suited to younger voices, appealing to them, and they already know half of them anyway. Most of the cast don't actually sing though (lessons, choirs - whatever) and so they didn't really sing with their full voices. Kind of like they held back because they were too nervous to do otherwise. And the auditioning is really stupid too, you all sing at once and they walk around and listen out for good singers. My friend auditioned for a production that way and got the lead part. And she is one of the worst singers I have ever heard.
I was
thinking, "Have they heard you sing, by
yourself ?"
Hey Marissa,
I wanted to ask if I could use your scan "Valentine's Chocolate"
for a wall?
You really don't like that movie.
I can't
imagine her singing more pop-ish songs (well, that's what I read it is) mainly
because her voice is so high.
I
was at the mall the other day and I saw her CD and was like, "People still
pay money to listen to her?"
Nevermind
all the stuff in the media and her personal life, if her music was good it
wouldn't matter. But her songs are just generic smut aimed mostly at people who
aren't even old emough to listen to music with those kinds of themes.
Ew, Britney Spears.

Yeah, before my singing lessons finished up last year I had to practice going up the scale without moving my jaw to do so.
But
you don't notice you're doing it, I imagine it's much the same with moving your
jaw to do vibrato.
I had to take money out of my bank account to go see CATS the second time, and I still need to replace it. And that's going to be by selling of some of my DVDs where the rest of the series got boring or the rating went up and I can't buy the rest.
I was very annoyed by that last reason.
Unfortunately you can hardly get anything for them, they look brand new and I've
hardly ever watched them.
Curses.

Sorted then out again, now I have 7 more arriving in the next couple
of days.
More sorting.
The other day I had my manga so that they reached the end of the shelf they were on with just a few millimetres to spare - then I bought more and had no idea what to do.
Thank God I'm not old enough to have financial trouble.
But I guess
I should have a little more money in my bank account than I actually do, my
dad's not impressed with me spending all my money on manga. (I have nothing else
to buy anyway.
) He keeps saying, "Don't you have enough of the series
by now?" Well... "I don't know what the storyline or the ending is yet
so how is that enough?" Jeez.

$300 dollars is a lot though.
Hope it
doesn't stretch your finances too far.
Not good. Can I ask why and how serious it is?

hi..I'm new sorta, however I was just dropping by o say hi,and ask can u upload anything?um I dont see the rule section,so hope you get back to me.

The trailers on youtube look really good, but a lot of people have posted saying they can't see it because of the rating. Ah well, I may have to wait for the DVD.
I was looking through all the Tony Taka pages and did not find these pictures. Maybe I was too fast but I really did not find these pictures there.
Hey, have you seen/heard about the new Tim Burton adaption of "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street"? It looks really good! (It's not out here yet.
) I haven't heard any of the music before, and I haven't heard
Johnny Depp sing either, but it's got amazing reviews and awards/nominations. I
can't wait to see it.
Yeah, he was Judas. For some reason I don't mind it when they breathe loudly. *shrugs* Judas was deranged half of the movie so that's probably why I didn't notice.
(Sorry for the late reply, I've been on holiday. ^^)

Tim
Burton's types of movies are exactly to my taste.
The casting of Alan Rickman perplexed me a bit, I never thought he'd be able to sing (at all), same thing with a few of the other actors. How did Helena Bonham Carter sound? I've only heard her sing once, and it was the type of song it's pretty hard to sound bad singing. Johnny Depp was in a band once (and I know a few people who like their music) so I imagine he isn't too bad. I'm still pretty excited about it, even if it wasn't a musical it still looks like my kind of movie.
I've been told to see Atonement but I don't see stuff at the movies very often (mostly kids movies for holiday outings or stuff I really want to see
) and it
doesn't really seem like my thing. From what I've heard it's sad too and I don't
like crying in public places.
merged: 01-20-2008 ~ 07:54pm
Though
nowadays you find that actors need to be able to do everything to be able to stay in the buisness. (Which isn't fair
on my opinion, having that much talent.
)
Though
apparently his audition was amazing, he sung through practically the entire
score of Fiddler on the Roof.
Sondheim was
very impressed with Depp's audition, so I guess it's just down to personal
taste.
It's just
'R' in Britain (or somewhere) so I don't know how far that extends.
I was like...Borat can sing?
By the way, what's it rated where you are? I'm just hoping it won't be R16, I won't be able to see it.
Aww gomen gomen. Didn't think it would matter since the message was pretty much the same as what the turd posted on your loving page of lovingness. -.-""
Wow, that was lucky! and probably quite cheap too. Most importantly, was it a good show?
I know what you mean about the clothing issue; one of my friend's
parents took her to the ballet for her birthday, except she didn't get told
where she was going so she was at this fancy show in a sweatshirt and jeans. She
was really embarrassed.
In
the reversed order as well, you're all dressed up walking to the theatre and
everyone else is out clubbing or something and they give you funny looks.
) Hope you
had a good Christmas and New Years!
Seeing it spontaneously like that must have been pretty fun, going shopping and ending up seeing it for such a good price! That would have made it all the more enjoyable, I'd imagine. (The price especially, I know when I went to the opera and the ticket was $114 it was quite painful.
merged: 01-08-2008 ~ 03:48pm
I suppose
her voice is...well I call it 'unconventionally good', they should be considered
terrible but for some reason you love to listen to them, or a voice that takes
adapting to. One of my favourites singers is like that - Jerome Pradon - his
voice is high and squeaky and just plain weird, but for some reason he's so GOOD (and famous
). No clue.

She sounds good! Her last few longer notes especially.
When I managed to get the only ticket left to see CATS I was in the farthest corner in the back row, but it was great! I would have been able to see more than some of the people in the very front, behind speakers and such. And I could sit on the back of the seat and dance around a little 'cause there was no one around me.
best wishes for you
Hi!
Sure, I understand your point and I'm so sorry to have uploaded bad scans. Thank you to haven't banned me!^^
I've a question totally out of this: before then my upload ability was locked I had problems to edit the images that I had posted! May I ask you it that's normal or maybe there was something wrong in my account?o.o?
