I see... well, that's true. Unlike here, most facilities there are really modern so you can learn more things. But of course, it's not just the machines or the facilities... it's about the knowledge of one student to become a nurse, also his/her ability to adapt on certain conditions (i.e. on the operating room or just in the ICU, etc.). :)

Yeah. Apparently the best knowledge of nursing is here in Quebec but we're missing 2500 nurses per year. That's the number needed every year until 2015. It may increase or decrease the number of nurses required. Oh well.

Yeah... and besides, high grades are one requirement for college. It'll be a bit hard for you if you only have normal grades. And also... you can get a scholarship easier. :) since you'll be taking up Nursing and as I recall to what you said... that course is expensive there, a scholarship is really a big help. ;)

Yep yep, expensive. I know the prices now. It's like 1000-2000$ CND per semester. xD Nursing is 6 semesters too. o_0 Yeah, I really need a scholarship right now. ~_~

Woah... PHP41000? Well... I think there's a school here which also offers a Nursing Course with that fee. Geez... that CND1000 is more than enough for my 4 years of study in my Uni (from tuition to all the things I need in the Uni for 4 years). Six semesters? You mean, Nursing there is only 3 years?

Yep PHP41000. Oh really? Yeah, only 3 years because there's laboratory's everywhere so the knowledge of medicine/nursing is more improved.

Nope. Ephie still remember who is she. ^__^ Hohohoh. Uh, what was your question again? *scratches*

Quote: Yeah... and I don't wanna experience that. If I'm lucky, I'm gonna graduate this May *yay for me!*. If I graduate this May, I might work for a year and save some money and then I'll pursue a Master's Degree while still working, hehehe! Gonna be really tough.

That's really good for you! :D Whoa, you're going Masters? o_0 Seriously?! It'll be tough for sure but I'm sure you'll be able to handle it. By the way, why head for Masters? Don't you wanna at least rest for some years, working and saving up some money?

Quote: Amazing Race Asia? Nope... no local channel airing that show. I might watch that if we have a cable tv. Why ask?

Nah, cause I saw a team from Philippines. And they're amazing! They go by the name Marc and Rovilson. X3 Rovilson's sense of humour is killing me. >.<

By the way, sorry for taking such a long time to reply. College has started and I can only use the e-library to check up the net. Take care over there!

Lol... all of your classmates are desperate to get sooo high grades? Honestly, I don't think about grades that much. If I get a high grade, that's a bonus for me. If I get a good grade... fine. And if I get a low grade or failed, I got lower grades... I fail. Geez... well, in one sense, you really have to get high grades so that it'll be easier on you to get your desired course. But seriously... I don't give a damn for grades.

Yeah... I really am looking forward to graduation, hehehe! XD

I don't really care of my grades neither but I really want to graduate this year and not have to redo my last high school year once over. :P XD That's why I'm aiming high grades even though I suck at some subjects, Lol.

Oh well... I wouldn't think about those in the near future cuz I'll be a professional. No more school... *evil laughs*

Haha, Student rights, lool. :P Haha, everyone wants a high grade no matter what. My classmates will make a fuss if the had like an 87%. xD

Geez... what a weird way for your school. It is really indeed boring. It'll be a lot of fun if there're still some activities as the class goes on, that'll be fun. Wanna laugh yourself out loud when some funny things happen during class activities, hehehe! So most students there in your school kinda get low grades for the past years?

Yup, or the teachers are lying to us and making us all depress. T_T

Yeah, I would rather laugh so hard then fall out of my chair but I don't think that'll ever happen since some of the teachers are too "strict". xD

Geez... what a way to terrorize students, hehehe!

"Strict" in what way?

Strict as in some teachers just uses their books of correction to correct our exam instead of using your judgment. For example I write Lilacs, the teacher will put it wrong because the answer is flower. OX

merged: 02-21-2008 ~ 08:17pm

Hahaha... now that's really strict.

Here, we usually are the ones checking our exam papers. Our teacher sometimes reconsider if there are optional answers besides the real one. But if the case when our teacher checks our papers, after it has been returned, we do some random checking and comparing to see if there're still some mistakes or if there are any optional answers on some items.

Oh that's cool! Way better than what some of my teachers does. It's good and a better way to understand but my teacher does not always return our papers or sometimes she returns them to us then gets them back. :hmpf: So I never have the chance to look over it and compare. :(

Most grades are based on homeworks? Hmm... that's odd. Well, here... homeworks are only a part of grade basis. It's basically in the class standing; homeworks, class activities, recitations, etc. Of course, exams also have a big factor in the grades. Geez... homeworks are boring, really!

^_^'

Well the only reason why our grades are based on our homeworks it's because all of the classes average is very low compared to the previous years. So right now they're trying to balance our grades with our homeworks like that we can pass. Since there's an exam in the end of the year that is worth 50% of the whole year, people tend to just say that they'll pass on that exam for to get their diploma but it's for sure it won't work. Homework are indeed boring. :P

Ah yes, catching up is the toughest part to deal with. Assignments are piling up, that's a headache. But oh well, thank goodness you're not in your Finals. :) I have lots of friends who flunked their subjects and they either repear the subject or repeat the whole semester again. Scaaary. Another ouch... double or triple homework? Or I guess even school projects, ne? You know, I'm really lazy to work on those (well, only working those things if really needed). I kinda find it stupid... most of my classmates in my high school days... they are so persistent on doing homeworks (like they copy the book... word by word). Geez... they're all so stupid. ^_^'

Oh yeah, Valentine's Day is coming up. Advance Happy Valentine's Day... if you have someone special, hehehe! XD

Nope, no project included. Haha, I know some people like that. I don't like copying word by word from my textbook since I do not understand it well so I just put it in my own words. ^_^' I don't usually do my homework neither. Too lazy to actually open my book but right now I have to homework in order to obtain my diploma.

Nah... I'm stucked in the house for 2 weeks cuz of measles. no burning or anything. And I screwed on my midterms on my Insurance subject. Say, saw you're talking with Jak bout G Gundam...

Sorry for the very very late reply! Have been lurking off somewhere hohoh, sorry~ Ah yes, that anime is good, and silly as well. It's a cure for the depressed hearts like me T.T , especially when you' can't find a date for Valentine's Day. *sads* So how about you there, got a partner yet?

So how's your measles? Are you getting better now? Being stuck in the house for 2 weeks is unbearable seriously, but that does make a good excuse for not going to school. :) That sounds really bad, so hm, you have to repeat that subbject again?

Ah yeah, was talking to Jak about G Gundam. I'm sure you've seen just how ugly the Gundam for Malaysia was. T.T

Owh, yeah, about the Gakuen Alice submission earlier, you're right. He is that kid with Fire Alice. Why? Did he owe you any money? >.<

Yup. The school year here starts at June (kadalasan maraming bagyong dumarating pag July kaya laging suspended classes, hehehe!) and ends at March. Most graduation ceremonies of grade school and high school are being conducted on that month and on college, it depends. It may be conducted in March, April, or May... depending on the college school calendar of the college or university. Of course, we also have a Christmas break. And oh yeah... we also have so many holidays so I feel that the school year here is shorter than most countries, I think. ^_^'

How about there?

Omg really? Your classes keep getting suspended during July because of storms? Luckyy! Haha but it's smart that they put your classes on June. xD Ohh I see. True true, the Holidays is more around those months so it's like school year ends quick.

In my area, we start in the end of August (29-30ish) and we finish in June. It feels long after the Christmas break though. Since there isn't much holidays till March. Graduation though is 3-4 months after the end of the school year. Like in my case, I finish my high school in June 2008, I still graduate but I do not have my diploma 'till October 2008.

merged: 02-08-2008 ~ 05:54am

Well... not really. But most of the storms comes roaming around on the months of July-August. But of course, there's still some from September to December. It may be kinda good for High school and Grade school students but not for us, College students. Too much delay in classes may lead us to ignorance. Geez... what's gonna happen to us in the professional world if that always happens. >_<

I see... so it's August there. Wow... gonna graduate too this year, eh. Congratulations in advance. :) but why can't you get your diploma til October? How are you suppose to enroll in college?

Ohh I see. Yeah, it's a pain once classes get suspended once in College or like in the end of High School. Like I had classes suspended a lot of times two years ago because teachers were on strike and maan we were so late in our lessons. xD

Yep, we start in August. Nicee. :) Congratz to you too as well (advanced). I don't know, it's very weird but I could apply for college and still get accepted but I won't recieve my diploma till October. It's weird, eh?

Now that's OUCH. Lemme guess, got a hard time catching up, ne?

I see... yeah, that's weird enough.

Yup it's hard catching up that time since I always had the same classes when teachers were on strike and we had back the classes we had like double homework or even triple to catch up before the finals. xD

Indeed.

Quote by AkaikenHahaha... really gone busy, huh? XD

Ooooh... so you still do some gossip? ^_^' thought you don't have time for that nowadays, hehehe!

Scholarships are like that there? Wow... I think it's too much. The requirements are sooo damn high. I guess only those whose eyes are always on books can only get those scholarships. Errr... about the last thing, you mean, if there're some relative of yours who got there or used to study and also has a scholarship there, then it's only the time when you can get a scholarship? If that's the case... it's already weird enough for me, hehehe! x_x

That really ARE NOT donations. It's like hearing one instructor of mine saying... "It's not compulsary, but it's required!" Geez... :hmpf: but yeah, it's really better that one DONATED something, even if it's just a cent. If those are saved little by little then it's gonna be bigger and bigger.

Hahahah... so you're expecting that girl to say that you copied? XD now that's funny! But seriously, you're right... she can't say you copied cuz first, you already are planning to buy and second, you're parents bought it, ne?

I thought you're gonna change it back to your Chen Shu Fen avvy? So you have some other picks besides it?

Nah, it's not really a mess. I just find it odd since there're those lines on the upper-right portion of your page. But yeah, it doesn't matter now cuz you'll gonna change it again, ne?

Oh I see... now I understand, heheheh! ;)

Hey- sorry. Yeah, I started a summer course 2-3 weeks ago, and I just ended up trying to reply to posts and your post just got drowned in the new ones x_x But here I am again. The course is over - so yay!

Lol, you'd be surprised when you're working with others, how much gossip goes around XD

Well, I guess what annoys me about the scholarships is that they are so inconsistent... some seem incredibly easy to get, while the others are just far too hard. They had a scholarship for "queer students", which I thought was a bit iffy. What if someone went up and pretended that they were gay just to get the scholarship? Anyway, the scholarships IMO are all unfair, minus the ones where you have to get over a certain mark to get them. Then again I didn't qualify because my university doesn't offer them :P But it's okay XD

Haha yeah... I hate it when they call them "contributions". I remember the first and only letter I received from the high school about paying fees was when one year I decided that contributions were probably "voluntary" like what the name suggests... they ended up sending me a letter telling me to pay several hundred dollars =_= It's really stupid... we are Govt subsidised anyway... but yeah. Most of these "contribution" things are dumb -_-

Lol well half of the people we know in common know I have the camera... so the most they'll say is "oh... Misa has that camera, too!" - I'm not too fussed about it. Like I mean, it's inevitable you'll end up at school and see someone wearing the exact same skirt (happened to me in high school, and this wasn't uniform, it was normal clothes @_@) let alone a camera. I reckon cameras are like mobile phones... they will overlap and they were designed to be used and bought. I'm just wondering what she'll think... hopefully she doesn't take it personally, because I really didn't think we'd end up with the same one o.o I thought she had a camera >_>

Lol I changed the avvy! This time it's a 2 minute doodle I did XD

Lol yeah... not sure when I'll get around to changing the page, though :\ I like the colours... so yeah. Oh well, it'll be fixed whenever I get around to it :)

Hope you're doing fine over there! ^^/
